Foresight exercise Agrimonde, Farming and Food systems of the world


The English version of the Summary Report is now available online. The Full Report in english will be made available soon.
The results of the foresight exercise Agrimonde were presented on the 25th of February 2009 during the Salon d'Agriculture in Paris, France.

A summary document  is available online in French and in English whereas the full report is available only in French at the moment. We shall keep you updated about the english version of the full report.

The foresight exercise entitled Agrimonde "Farming and food systems of the world" is conducted over a period of two years (2006-2008) by Inra and Cirad.  It should serve to foresee the place occupied by agriculture under different scenarios of global change, taking particularly into account the plurality among southern countries, and to pinpoint the fundamental issues faced by agricultural research.

Stakes for agricultural research in the Mediterranean region

One of the goals of the FI4IAR is to define the challenges, priorities, interactions and synergies of agricultural research, in geographical areas such as the Mediterranean region and emerging countries.

The FI4IAR was commissioned by the Directorate Generals of Inra and Cirad to conduct an analysis of the stakes for agricultural research in this region, propose modes of collaboration and identify research priorities.

A report was hence submitted to the Directorate Generals of Inra and Cirad.
